Mr. Seed devotes his practice to state and local taxation through the representation of boards of education in school finance matters, including tax valuation and classification, tax incentives, tax levy issues, and general financial issues. Mr. Seed practices extensively in administrative proceedings and litigation before county boards of revision, the State of Ohio Department of Taxation, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, courts of common pleas, courts of appeal, and the Ohio Supreme Court in real estate tax valuation and exemption matters.
Mr. Seed is a regular speaker before the International Association of Assessing Officers and the Ohio School Board Association. Mr. Seed is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and is a member of the Cleveland and Ohio Bar Associations as well as the OSBA Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys.
Mr. Seed initially was an associate with Kadish, Hinkel & Weibel Co., L.P.A. from 1996 through 1998, practicing state and local taxation, probate administration, and general business law. From 1998 through January, 2006, Mr. Seed was an associate and a Director of the law firms of Means, Bichimer, Burkholder & Baker Co., L.P.A. and Britton, Smith, Peters & Kalail Co., L.P.A.
In January 2006, Mr. Seed co-founded Brindza McIntyre & Seed LLP, where he continues his representation of boards of education in state and local taxation, real estate tax exemption and valuation proceedings, and school finance.
